Religious Education
Under Section 71 of the School Standards and Framework Act 1998, parents have the legal right to withdraw their child from all or part of Religious Education (RE) lessons and collective worship.
If you are considering exercising this right, we encourage you to contact the school to discuss your concerns. We are happy to share our RE curriculum, explain how topics are approached, and address any questions you may have before you make a final decision.
To formally request a withdrawal, please submit a written request addressed to the Headteacher outlining whether the withdrawal applies to all RE lessons or specific components of the curriculum.
Upon receiving a withdrawal request, the school will arrange appropriate supervised alternative provision for your child during RE timetabled periods.
