Pupils, in Oak Class, used resilience and determination, to create a lovely home for Thunder, who has been popping in to Notton, along with our farm mentor Caroline, to meet the boys and have some quiet, caring time.
Staff at Notton House joined other schools within the Learn@ MAT group last Friday at Bath Racecourse, for a day of training focusing on staff mental health and well-being. We even took part in a human horse race and we won! Go Team Notton!
Pupils have been producing amazing art work in their lessons with Ron, our new Creative Arts Teacher. Leo has painted a wonderful piece inspired by the works of Sonia Delauney.
What a wonderful event today was, with the opening of our new library. Thank you to The Foyle Foundation for the donation to make this happen. Councillor Desna Allen, Chippenham Mayor, cut the ribbon. Chippenham MP, Michele Donelan, joined via Face Time to help us celebrate the occasion.
Yesterday, Kelly Challis from the Driver Youth Trust, visited Notton to continue our partnership on improving pupils' literacy. She even managed to have a sneak preview of the new library, the day before it opens! Here she is with our new Sendco, Linda!
Six boys in year 10 and 11 attend Rocksteady Construction in Bristol every Wednesday to learn new skills and gain a level 1 qualification. This week, they tried tiling!
